Circle painting is one of my favorite ways to get young artists working together and discussing their work. It's easy, there's no pressure to create something detailed or perfect, and it is SO FUN! At KaleidoKids we have done a few Circle Painting Parties and they have been a huge hit. Not only is it fun for the littles, but its a great activity for all ages! I can never resist adding some circles here and there when we have a party...
We've also experimented with a STRIPE painting, where we divide the paper with strips of tape and everyone chooses their own stripe. This one turned out SO COOL. (And again, I obviously couldn't resist...)
Yesterday, I had an amazing opportunity to lead Story Time at the Pope County Library in Russellville. We had an awesome time, and I am so impressed with these kiddos! We read the book The Dot by Peter H Reynolds (one of my faves!) and then got to work painting our own dots!
A HUGE thank you to the Pope County Library System for inviting me to come share with these little artists and watch them paint and have a great time!
Circle Painting is a great way to let loose and have fun while maybe getting a little messy and creating an AWESOME piece of artwork. If you or your kiddos are interested in doing a BIG circle painting or attending a party, please let us know! We would love to plan a party for your kiddos, or even YOU and your friends! (I promise, adults love to circle paint, too!)
